Hall Mugdha

The International Film Festival of Rajasthan opens with the formal inauguration ceremony in the presence of:

The ceremony will include the traditional lighting of the lamp, marking the official commencement of iFFoR.

The festival jury will be felicitated on stage in recognition of their thoughtful engagement and careful curation of films selected for this edition of iFFoR.

This opening panel brings together leading voices from across disciplines of filmmaking to explore the journey of cinema — from the first idea to the final experience on screen. The discussion focuses on craft, collaboration, and how regions like Rajasthan can nurture strong storytelling ecosystems.

Members of Jaipur’s creative community will be invited on stage and felicitated with festival goodie bags, acknowledging their contribution to the city’s cultural and artistic landscape.

Bhapang Performance by Yusuf Khan & Group

A powerful folk music performance by Yusuf Khan, acclaimed young Bhapang artist from Mewat, Rajasthan.

About the Artist:

Yusuf Khan is a nationally and internationally recognised Bhapang folk musician, trained under the legendary Ustad Zahoor Khan Mewati. He has performed across Europe and India, including appearances on national television and major cultural platforms. Recipient of the Ustad Bismillah Khan Yuva Puraskar (2024), Yusuf Khan is dedicated to reviving and preserving the endangered folk traditions of the Mewat region.

The inauguration concludes with the cutting of the ribbon, followed by a walkthrough of the art installations and film festival areas, officially opening iFFoR for audiences.
